Mike's grandfather started building houses in 1962 with nothing but a truck and a reputation for honest work. His father grew it into a respected residential builder. Now Mike is taking over and wants to expand into commercial projects. The challenge: the old hand-painted truck sign was charming but looked amateur next to competitors bidding on the same contracts. He needed a brand that honored 60 years of family legacy while looking professional enough for corporate clients.
Stone & Timber Construction
A third-generation family construction business needed an identity that honored their heritage while positioning them for commercial growth. The emblem-style mark communicates reliability and craftsmanship.

Construction is about trust—you're building someone's home or business. We designed an emblem that functions like a seal of quality, something that could be stamped on a contract or displayed proudly on a job site. The shield shape suggests protection and reliability. Inside, a subtle house silhouette and hammer motif reference their residential roots without limiting them to that market. "Est. 1962" anchors the brand in heritage. The deep orange stands out on trucks and hard hats while conveying energy and capability.

Within six months, Stone & Timber won their first commercial contract—a small office building they never would have been considered for with their old branding. Mike reports that clients consistently mention the "professional presentation" as a factor in choosing them. The vehicle wraps have become local landmarks, and they've hired two new crews to handle increased demand.
